Can you do a platformer version like Kincaid? your game is cool, but needs more exploration of the map without limitations "freeroam" and more challenges from the map, you game is basically enemies fight and the map don't have much to do, i like open world with exploration and this in your game will be fantastic, you can use the animations in your upgrade with map exploration and freeroam. They are still working on it through patreon it looks like. Level 5 on its way. Here is what they said:
I think we will have a playable version of level 5 out in february! There was also a delay on the music from our music artist, but it should be done this month. I expect we will have 3 or 4 enemies working. The full level with the boss fight will take a bit longer, my guess is after summer to have the entire level complete with the Fae bossfight.
level four is bad, you can't fight back. no matter how quickly you spam a and d you have at max 1 enemy that can catch you before you lose a corruption. the robot elf is way to fast it and moves towards you faster than you can kill it. jumping is also extremely slow and kills your momentum completely. I saw someone else said that max moves to slow. They are 100% correct, it doesn't really matter in the early levels because the enemies die easily and they don't spawn often. but once you get to level three the game starts punishing you because of it. Level four puts that on blast, specifically with the robot elf I mean what the fuck. it moves much faster than the character moves and attacks. you can't attack while walking backwards so you basically have to hope that you can kill it. Except that you won't, at least not without using one of your special attacks. you can only hit it 3 times, four if you are lucky. before it hits you. the other enemies are annoying but passable. robot elf is poorly designed to the point where the level seems to be rng on whether or not you can even get to the halfway point.

Extracting rar with UnArchiver
On the icon > show contents
On Contents folder > open terminal at this location
In Terminal
cd /MacOS
chmod +x ./MAC\ 4.09
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ./MAC\ 4.09

Level 3 literally isn't possible to fast, max walks too slows and the tentacles are can't be dodged.
stay still till the the 3rd and 4th tentacles come and jump over them then go forward
